1:1 Wholeness sessions

Biodynamic Craniosacral Approach

The Biodynamic approach has evolved into a remarkable body therapy that has created a highly skilled way of listening to the body’s inherent health expressions. This approach encourages The Health to bring about adjustments from the body's own natural resources, allowing the receiver to return to Wholeness. This approach to therapy creates a safe space for traumatic experiences to emerge and resolve smoothly without being overwhelming or re-stimulating.

The touch is gentle, safe, and includes far less moving around than a typical bodywork session.

Acupuncture

Still maintaining a biodynamic approach, Dr. Steph uses acupuncture as a means to promote Wholeness and well-being to her patients. By using different "access" points on the body, a practitioner can facilitate processes to stimulate or relax systems of the body.

How it Works:

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine understands that Qi flows through pathways called meridians. When Qi is blocked or imbalanced, illness can occur. Acupuncture aims to restore the flow of Qi and balance yin and yang, two opposing and very interconnected forces in the body, to promote health.
  • Western science suggests acupuncture stimulates the nervous system, leading to the release of endorphins, (hormones) immune system cells, and other substances that can influence pain perception, blood pressure, and other bodily functions.

Sound as Healing

Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that uses sound and vibration to promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. It involves using instruments like singing bowlsft6 gongs, and tuning forks to create vibrations that can help individuals relax, reduce stress, and potentially address specific health issues.

How it works:

  • Sound healing is based on the principle that everything in the universe, including the human body, vibrates at specific frequencies.
  • When these frequencies are disrupted by stress, illness, or other factors, it can lead to imbalances and discomfort.
  • Sound healing aims to restore balance by using therapeutic sounds to influence the body's natural frequencies and promote relaxation and healing.
  • Instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and tuning forks are used to create these vibrations, often played around or directly on the body.

Wholeness As Health

Achieve Optimal Wellness with Coming Home

In 2015, I  moved to Sarasota to teach aerial yoga immediately after completing massage therapy school, at Florida School of Massage, in Gainesville. My journey through yoga led me to East West College of Natural Medicine where I would embark on my next learning quest, Traditional Chinese Medicine. I hold a plethora of knowledge around herbal medicine and uses for acupuncture points. I fell in love with the medicine, the herbs, and the fascinating way this ancient medicine connects the human body with nature, seasons, cycles, experiences, and emotions.

I now have taken my knowledge of herbal medicine deeper to work with flower essences, connect with the spirits of flowers and herbs, and I embody and allow the information of the plant world to bring healing to those who need it most.

My knowledge of anatomy is profound and goes all the way back to my childhood with a father who practiced critical care medicine, spending my formative adolecent years working in emergency medicine as an EMT & paramedic. My deep love for how it moves rooting itself in my years as a gymnast + dancer. The human body is an exquisite creation of nature both inside and out.

I believe there is not one simple path to healing, nor would I dedicate my life to just one single medicine. We all resonate with different perspectives, persons, and experiences. That is part of what makes us Whole.

I practice a biodynamic approach, to offer an all encompassing experience for my patients to return to Wholeness. To embody Wholeness as a way of being and trust themselves and their bodies to know the way.
